Discussion Questions
1. Read Ephesians 2:11-22. This passage teaches that God has united Jewish believers and Gentile believers (two ethnic and cultural groups that were historically extremely divided) into one unified body, the church. How should this teaching guide my thinking about the unity God wants within His church? How does the illustration of the human body in 1 Corinthians 12 teach about both unity and diversity within the church? What should this unity and diversity look like in a church?
2. Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-31. How has God gifted me to serve Him within the church? How can I use these gifts to build up and disciple other members of the body of Christ?
3. Hebrews 4:14-16 teaches us that we can come before the throne of God with boldness and confidence. On what grounds can we come in this way (vs. 14-15)? How should this reality of why we can come before God’s throne humble me? How should this reality give me confidence as I come before God?
