Discussion Questions
1. Read Job 38-42. What does the wisdom of God in creation teach me about trusting God’s wisdom in my own life? When is it hard for me to keep trusting God’s wisdom instead of my own wisdom?
2. Read Psalm 18. Proverbs 30:5 says that God is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. What does it mean to take refuge in God? In what situations of life can I see His protection most clearly? How can I follow David’s response to God’s protection (Psalm 18:1, 3, 46, 49)?
3. In Proverbs 30:8-9, Agur prayed that God would provide his needs in such a way that he would remain satisfied and content in God. Where do I seek satisfaction apart from God? How can Paul’s teaching in Philippians 4:11-13 help me be content whether God has given me a lot or a little? No matter how much I have in life, how can God’s provision for me point me to trust in Him instead of trust in the things that He has provided?
